Save energy and money when you install a high-efficiency natural gas tank water heater with a 62-64 percent or greater energy factor, or a tankless water heater with an 80 percent or greater energy factor. You'll also get an immediate benefit of a rebate up to $500. Whether you are replacing an existing water heater or installing a new one, a CenterPoint Energy rebate makes that purchase easier on your budget.
|Type of natural gas water heater||Energy Factor||Rebate|
|Tank (40 gallons or more)||.62 or greater EF||$75|
|Tank (less than 40 gallons)||.64 or greater EF||$75|
|Tankless||.80 or greater EF||$500|
Note: For rebate to apply, the new equipment must be listed and Energy Factor (EF) or thermal efficiency verified in the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) directory.

CenterPoint Energy cannot guarantee energy savings and does not warrant rebated equipment.
Allow eight weeks for rebate processing from the time CenterPoint Energy receives your completed paperwork.
