Two things generally affect the price you pay for natural gas
The prices we pay our suppliers, which are influenced by supply and demand economics.
Weather patterns, which influence the amount of natural gas you use and overall demand for available supplies.
How your energy dollars are split
The largest portion of your gas bill—typically 80 to 90 percent—is the actual cost of the gas you use. We pass this amount through to you from our suppliers with no price mark-up. The price varies monthly according to market conditions.
The remaining 10 to 20 percent of your total bill is our costs for providing you with natural gas service.
Note: For Dual Fuel customers, a slightly higher percentage of the monthly bill is the actual cost of gas used.
