CenterPoint Energy offers great customer rebates for installing high-efficiency natural gas equipment and other energy efficiency upgrades. We encourage you to use these rebates to upsell to high-efficiency and help your customers save energy and money for years to come.

2012 Rebate Offerings

Heating System Rebates

CenterPoint Energy offers up to $400 for forced-air furnaces and $500 for natural gas boilers. For adding savings, we offer a $25 rebate when you install a programmable thermostat with any qualifying heating system.

$150 rebate	for installing a natural gas forced air furnace with 92% to 93.9% or higher AFUE
$300 rebate	for installing a natural gas boiler with 83.5% or higher AFUE
$300 rebate	for installing a natural gas forced air furnace with 94% to 95.9% AFUE
$400 rebate	for installing a natural gas forced air furnace with 96% AFUE
$500 rebate	for installing a condensing natural gas boiler with 91% or higher AFUE

Water Heater Rebates

Our rebate offering includes a rebate up to $100 for natural gas storage tank water heaters and a $200 rebate for a storage indirect water heater installed with a condensing boiler.*

Note: Efficiency will be determined using the Gas Appliance Manufacturer Association (AHRI directory).

*Qualifying equipment includes atmospheric, power or direct vent models. Tankless models do not qualify. For more information on tankless water heaters, click here.

Fireplace Rebate

This rebate is available for customers that install a natural gas direct vent fireplace, insert or free-standing stove with electronic ignition (also known as IPI).

Program reminders

• Program dates - January 1-December 31, 2012
• Equipment installed under warranty replacement does not qualify for a rebate.
• Submit all requested paper work by December 31 in calendar year of installation.
• Rebates must be post-marked by December 31, 2012
