Honor Roll!
Baxter natural gas rotating rack oven makes the grade
How many chocolate chip cookies does it take to feed 1,600 hungry teenagers each day? Eighty dozen. Thank goodness for the Baxter natural gas rotating rack oven.
Foodservice staff at the new Prior Lake High School count on the high volume oven to handle 90 percent of their output each day. From cookies, breads and other baked goods to meat, potatoes, pizzas and more, the Baxter rotating oven keeps pace with the busy school's breakfast and lunch demand.
A+ for efficiency. Site manager Gail Jungers appreciates the oven's versatility and efficiency. "Our food preparation is much more efficient. We always have the next rack filled and ready to roll in, so the oven is in constant use." She also appreciates the steam cooking, programmable operation and other time-saving features.
Quality and consistency pass the test. "We've noticed a big difference in product quality," Jungers added. "The airflow and circulation are a huge advantage. The oven's accuracy helps us maintain product consistency as well as keep us on schedule."
Rebates offer extra credit. Jungers also loves the quick recovery of natural gas. "Every time we open the six foot door, we lose heat, but it recovers temperature so quickly, we don't even need to adjust cooking time." A money-saving rebate from CenterPoint Energy helped lower start-up costs, a real plus for the school's budget.
