While our 5,000-square-mile electric service area covers only 2 percent of the land mass of Texas, we deliver electricity to almost 10 percent of the state’s population. The 74.57 million megawatts of electricity we delivered in 2009 represents about 22 percent of the electricity delivered in Texas.
