Concerns about the locale’s business climate, infrastructure, demographic composition, and access to markets, suppliers, customers and a qualified workforce are among the myriad factors impacting the company’s chosen site. Site location consultants assist executives in navigating this web of concerns across competing sites. In turn, the Economic Development team works with site location consultants to address the concerns specific to our region while demonstrating the advantages of relocating or expanding in the Houston region.

Economic Development works hand-in-hand with the Texas Secretary of State and Greater Houston Partnership to develop new market opportunities through utilization of marketing trips in support of the Texas One and Opportunity Houston initiatives, respectively. CenterPoint Energy works to build and maintain close working relationships with leading site location consultants to the benefit of our region through enhanced job and investment growth.
