 Residential Energy Efficiency Programs

CenterPoint Energy partners with energy efficiency service providers and local agencies to support residents in saving energy and money. These residential programs are geared to assist residents in making energy efficient upgrades that reduce energy consumption, save money and benefit the environment.

Agencies in Action Program
A program that utilizes area community action agencies and non-profit organizations to deliver energy efficiency services to low-income customers.

A/C Distributor Program
Provides incentives to air conditioning distributors who install high-efficiency air conditioners and heat pumps in existing residencies and small businesses. 

Hard-To-Reach Standard Offer Program
A low-income program that provides a variety of energy efficiency upgrades to homeowners with income levels at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guideline.

Advanced Lighting Program
A program that promotes the installation of advanced, high efficiency lighting systems

City of Houston Weatherization Program
A partnership between CenterPoint Energy and the City of Houston which utilizes a neighborhood approach to upgrade the efficiency of low-income homes.

Rebuilding Together Houston
A partnership between CenterPoint Energy and Rebuilding Together Houston, a national community action agency, that provides energy efficiency upgrades to low-income housing.

Residential Standard Offer Program
A program that provides incentives to 3rd party contractors for energy efficiency retrofit projects in residences and small businesses.

 Business Energy Efficiency Programs

CenterPoint Energy's Business Energy Efficiency programs assist Commercial and Industrial customers in reducing demand and energy usage. These programs offer incentives that promote the installation of a variety of energy efficiency and load management measures.

Commercial & Industrial Standard Offer Program
A program that offers incentives to energy efficiency service providers who install qualified energy efficiency projects in new or existing commercial and industrial facilities.

Energy Share Load Management Program  
A load curtailment program that offers incentives to commercial and industrial customers for curtailing or shifting a load when notified. Curtailments can be called between June 1 and Sept. 30.

Retro-Commissioning Program 
A program that promotes the tune-up of existing commercial and industrial buildings by evaluating facility systems and implementing low-cost/no-cost measures.

Texas Score / CitySmart Program
A program that promotes energy efficiency upgrades at public and private schools, colleges and cities through incentives and services. Services include: planning, financial analysis and technical support.

 Builders & Developers Energy Efficiency Programs

CenterPoint Energy works closely with local builders and contractors to promote energy efficiency improvements through incentives, training and advertising.

Energy Star New Homes Program
A program that provides incentives and training to homebuilders to encourage the construction of ENERGY STAR labeled homes.

Multi-Family Water and Space Heating Program
A program that provides incentives to multifamily project developers who install energy efficient, non-electric water heating in multifamily projects.
