  • The Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum is the world's largest private holding of important original manuscripts and documents. Included in the archives is the original draft of the "Bill of Rights," the "Thanksgiving Proclomation" signed by George Washington and Einsteins description of his "Theory of Relativity."
  • The Municipal Auditorium and its Stage of Stars and Legends museum is the former home of the Louisiana Hayride and the launching pad for numerous music legends, including Elvis Presley, Hank Williams, Jr., Johnny Cash, Slim Whitman and many more.
  • The Strand Theatre was built in 1925 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
  • The American Rose Center, headquarters for the American Rose Society, boasts more than 20,000 roses planted in 60 individual gardens on 118 acres.
