MINNEAPOLIS - July 21, 2011 - CenterPoint Energy recently received the Wellness by Design Award from Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health Department acknowledging the company’s employee Safety and Wellness Action Team (SWAT). This is the third consecutive year CenterPoint Energy has won the award.
Rosie Lusian, disability case manager, and Pete Thelen, safety and technical training manager, accepted the silver award on behalf of CenterPoint Energy. “The Safety Wellness Action Team in Minnesota believes in creating an environment in which employees can find creative ways to encourage safe and healthy lifestyles at work, home and at play. I am proud to be part of an organization that supports these important matters,” said Lusian, who is also a member of SWAT.

The Wellness by Design Awards were held on June 23, at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center and recognized 120 companies and schools for demonstrating an above average commitment to their employees’ health and wellbeing.
