CenterPoint Energy offers homebuilders great rebates when they​ purchase and install qualifying high-efficiency water heating equipment in the homes they build.

Work with the dealer or plumber of your ​choice to select a water heater that fits the needs of your homeowners and start adding to your bottom line with rebates.​​​​

Note: For rebate to apply, the new equipment must be listed and Energy Factor (EF) or thermal efficiency verified in the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) directory or ENERGY STAR@​ Websites.​

​*For tank water heaters > 75,000 Btuh, minimum thermal efficiency is 88%.

How the Program Wor​ks

  1. Work with the dealer or plumber of your choice to determine the best qualifying natural gas water heaters for the homes you build on CenterPoint Energy service lines.
  2. Install a qualifying water heater between January 1 - December 31.
  3. Have your dealer or plumber submit a rebate application for your installation (including electronic copy of the dated invoice) through our online rebate processing system.
  4. We’ll notify you when the rebate application has been submitted and again when payment is approved. Note: providing your dealer or plumber with your email address allows for faster notification.
  5. Receive your rebate check within eight weeks of when we get the completed rebate application.
Please note: This rebate offer is only available for Minnesota residential homes served with natural gas from CenterPoint Energy. Rebates are paid on a first-come, first-served basis.​​​​
