This holiday season, employees companywide reached out to spread the joy of the season in their respective communities. In Houston, employees raised almost $500 to buy toys to help the disadvantaged employees of Goodwill Industries of Houston. More than 40 percent of the local Goodwill employees have a documented disability or other barrier to employment, and many also have children. CNP employees worked together to provide a special Christmas treat for these children. William Shackelford and Augustus Jones, linemen at the H.O. Clarke Service Center (HOC), coordinated the fundraising and toy collection for the event. Cheryl Jackson, senior secretary at HOC, and Janette Hammond, Community Relations program manager, selected the toys. Jackson also individually wrapped each present for the children.
