For years, CNP and its employees have been supporters of the March of Dimes, raising funds and awareness to help give premature babies a chance for a healthy start to life. “Each year CenterPoint Energy and its employees show their commitment to the fight against premature birth and healthy babies,” said Scott Rozzell, executive vice president and general counsel. “This year we raised more than $100,000 for this worthy cause, and I want to thank everyone in the CenterPoint Energy family who helped achieve this significant milestone.”
CNP employees across the state raised more than $3,900. The Lawton March for Babies walk was held under stormy skies. Fortunately, the rain held off and the walk was well-attended. Kista Taylor, operations support representative, said, “The CNP team exceeded its goal in fundraising which totaled $1,100, and in the number of walkers participating.”
The award-winning team in McAlester placed third for a team with one to 50 employees raising the most money ($2,524.82) and third place for the team with one to 50 employees with the most walkers at the March for Babies event.
