Each year, CNP offers free educator resources for teachers and students in K-12 grade schools. In the Houston area alone, the company has provided nearly 3 million booklets on safety and career exploration to teachers and students since 1985. Corporate Community Relations recently unveiled updated and completely redesigned versions of the Houston-area Educator Resources Catalog and the Energy Lines newsletter, which is published periodically during the school year. Copies of these publications have been sent to Houston-area school district superintendents and science curriculum coordinators as well as campus principals, librarians and lead science teachers.
Beyond Houston, CNP also recently provided mouse pads promoting the company’s education Web sites, Electric Universe and Energy Underground, to 379 schools in the southern region. Schools in the southern states can also receive National Energy Foundation (NEF) natural gas curriculum upon request. For more information about how CNP is reaching out to students in your community, contact Lucretia Ahrens, Corporate Community Relations manager.
