Employees assist cyclists on Natchez Trace Century Ride

Natchez Trace Century RideAs hundreds of cyclists recently biked through the historic Natchez Trace Parkway, CenterPoint Energy employees were there to help ensure that each rider had an enjoyable experience. During the 2010 Natchez Trace Century Ride in Ridgeland, Miss., volunteers stationed at the Yockanookany rest stop assisted riders by filling water cups and bottles, holding bikes, cutting fruit and anything else that was needed. Pictured (left to right) are Eric Benson, construction operations supervisor and Rene Bodin, finance analyst. The volunteers helped cyclists who had the option of biking distances of 25, 50, 62 or 100 miles along the scenic route. The night before the event, Tina Lakey, district director; Mary Benson, secretary; Aretha Grace, service technician, Bodine and his wife Betsy also volunteered their time at the Century Ride registration by accepting forms and distributing gift bags and rider numbers.
