One year after seeing many of their homes and businesses demolished by Hurricane Ike, residents of Galveston, Texas, took part in a torch relay that marked efforts to return life to normal. A group of CNP employees was part of the procession that included the Galveston Coast Guard Color Guard, first responders and elected officials. The groups took turns carrying a ceremonial torch along the three-mile route that ended in downtown Galveston.
