CenterPoint Energy (CNP) employees in Laredo, Texas, raised funds to support the battle against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a fatal neurodegenerative disease. The event was held at Texas A&M International University in November. CNP’s team raised more than $800 to help find a cure for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, which makes common functions such as walking, speaking and gesturing almost impossible. The association funds research and community-based patient service programs in an effort to raise awareness of ALS.
Volunteers included Melissa Bernal, Margie Vidaurri, Elsa Buitron, Sonny Lozano, Eddie Alvarez, Meme Villa, Jay Lara, Jimmy Gambino and Ana Granada.
