Vince Turrentine, head line mechanic, Transmission Operations at the South Houston Service Center (pictured left), was named a Friend of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at the organization's annual meeting in Houston. "He has worn many hats from grilling hot dogs for 400 participants at Great Strides' Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis to loading and unloading trucks for many of our other events," said Kim Organ, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation senior director of special events (pictured right). Turrentine, who has been volunteering for this foundation for more than 15 years, was also recognized for his efforts as chairman of CNP's Charity Saltwater Fishing Tournament, which benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Kids Unlimited Foundation. The 2010 Charity Saltwater Fishing Tournament is set for June 5 at the Charles T. Doyle Convention Center in Texas City, Texas. Contact Delores Garner, Corporate Community Relations, for information.
