A group of CNP retirees in Minnesota recently made 40 fleece blankets and donated them to Bridging, a nonprofit organization aiming to provide the economically disadvantaged with a one-time gift of quality furniture and household items to help stabilize and improve their lives.
In a letter of appreciation, Bridging Volunteer Manager Diana Dalsin said, “On behalf of Bridging staff, volunteers, board members and especially our clients, we extend a sincere thank you for your generous donation of beautiful hand-made tie blankets. We are grateful for the incredible time and talents you have given to provide families warm coverings for their beds."
The Minnesota Active Retiree Service (MARS) joins forces with Bridging once a month at two locations, helping with electrical and furniture repair, warehouse support, client shopping assistance, woodworking shop and small household goods sorting.
