How to apply (EXTERNAL VISITORS)
- Select Log In for Returning Visitors
- Enter your username and password.
- The Candidate Personal Pages will open
- Select View CNP Current Career Opportunities
- Click the blue box to the left of the job you are interested in to highlight in orange
- Click Apply/Display Application button
- Select Resume/Cover Letter tab and the Add Attachment button to attach a resume
- Select Submit Application tab and click the Submit button
- Review the EEO Self Disclosure form
Important Notes:
- You can verify or review your applications by going to the Job Postings link under Jobs
- If you applied successfully, the Status will be “In Process” and you will receive a confirmation e-mail from CenterPoint Energy Recruiting
- If it says “Draft”, you will need to select the job and click the Continue/Display Application button and complete the process as described above
How to Log In (CNP EMPLOYEES)
First time Visitor:
- Select CNP Employee Log In
- Enter your eight-digit SAP ID (your employee ID preceded by zeros) under username
- Click “Password forgotten”
- A system-generated password will automatically be sent to your company e-mail address
- Go back to the CNP Employee Log In screen
- Enter your eight-digit SAP ID (your employee ID preceded by zeros) under username
- Enter the system-generated password
- You will be prompted to create a new password
Returning Visitor:
- Select CNP Employee Log In
- Enter your eight-digit SAP ID (your employee ID preceded by zeros) under username
- Enter the password you created

- If you do not have a company e-mail address, please contact the IT Help Desk to have your password created.
- If you have questions or need additional assistance with your password, please contact the IT Help Desk, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Central Time.
