What educational/employment path led you to CenterPoint Energy and the position you hold today?
A degree in Finance from UCF in Orlando and a desire to work in the energy industry led me to work here at CenterPoint Energy. I also wanted to work for a company that is local, a fortune 500 and influential in the community.
What are some of the things that you do in a day’s work?
I spend a lot of time focusing on Unitizing and Retiring Assets, Aging Reports for Working Projects, Capital Leases, AFUDC Calculations, Claims Receivables, and funding the property ledgers as well as Intangible Reclassifying of assets.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
I love to drive around my city of Houston and see a project being worked on by CenterPoint and know exactly what it is, and how much it has cost (the numbers can be HUGE). I brag a lot about it to my family and friends.
What is the most memorable experience you have had while working at CenterPoint Energy?
I have had a few but I love to go on the tours of our substations and plant sites to see exactly what it is that we are doing as a business for our customers and where we are headed in the future.

CenterPoint has given me priceless experience and challenges that I use on a day to day basis whether inside the company or in my daily life.  I have received the knowledge and tools to exceedingly achieve many of my goals in life ... and I’m only getting started!
What advice would you offer a potential employee of CenterPoint Energy?
I would advise for them to focus on the bigger picture so that they can see what it is that they are doing for their company and how they are contributing and to also be active in getting to know everyone around them, they can learn A LOT from many of the people who work here.
What are some of your hobbies?
I love to travel first and foremost. Also I love spending as much time as possible outside with Tango my Great Dane and Abby my Sheltie. (Both are rescue dogs!)
What kind of music do you enjoy and who is your favorite artist/band/group?
My IPod has playlists with Rap, Country, and Reggaeton side by side and anything else with a good beat that I can dance to in my car.
What is something that you can’t live without?
I absolutely cannot live without AIR CONDITIONING!
If you could have a conversation with any person (alive or dead), who would it be?
I would love to have a conversation with Jesus.
