Current Position: Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Previous Positions: Dana comes to CenterPoint Energy from CEVA Logistics, where she served as chief legal officer and chief compliance officer and was a member of the executive board. CEVA is a Dutch-based company that is one of the world’s leading logistics companies, operating in more than 170 countries and employing approximately 45,000 people. She has previously been the general counsel at EGL, Inc. and Quanta Services, Inc., a leading construction and service provider to the utility industry. After law school, she clerked for then Justice Nathan Hecht of the Texas Supreme Court and began her legal career as a corporate associate at Weil, Gotshal and Manges, LLP.
Education: Dana received her B.A. with honors from Trinity University and her law degree, also with honors, from the University of Texas.
Affiliations and Honors: In 2013, Dana received the Texas General Counsel Forum’s Magna Stella Award for Outstanding General Counsel of a large company. She is currently on the board of the Association of Women Attorneys Foundation, which supports women in law by raising scholarship money for female law students at Houston's three law schools.
Personal: Dana and her husband, Pete, spend free time with their five active children, ages 13 to 23, and at their ranch near Centerville, Texas. They focus their charitable endeavors on organizations helping children, including Child Advocates, Ronald McDonald House and St. Jude’s Hospital.
